Head of Communications and Public Relations
Company Overview:
Trade Exchange Network is a young, dynamic organization that owns and operates a number of internet-based businesses specialising in person-to-person trading. Trading takes place on our www.intrade.com platform in financial indices, political issues, weather, and commodity price outcomes. Our customers are located worldwide, primarily in North America.
Position Summary:
The Head of Communications & Public Relations will manage the development, execution and delivery of all aspects of our public relations strategy, and will represent intrade.com to national and international broadcast, print, and Internet media.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and direct the planning and coordination of a comprehensive and diversified public relations strategy that will project a unified message about the company while integrating the individual requirements of the business segments.
- Gain positive and consistent publicity for our organization and services across diverse media.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all public relations practices, technologies and resources.
- Prepare and manage all promotional and informational items for publication and circulation in the form of press releases, media advisories, feature articles, Q&As, video news releases, press conferences, events, podcasts, blogs, and all other company public relations communications.
- Identify key editors at relevant publications, and develop and maintain relationships that facilitate positive media coverage.
- Generate and respond to all media requests for information and interviews.
- Create and pitch story ideas to all media outlets.
- Build and maintain media lists, and coordinate the development and dissemination of press releases.
- Write, edit and oversee production of a regular newsletter.
- Maintain and regularly update a section of our website devoted to press releases.
- Participate in the development of a system to monitor the impact of publicity efforts.
- Work closely with the executive and marketing teams to align PR activity with upcoming initiatives and technical, media, and industry developments.
- Collect and analyze the publicity efforts of competitors.
- Assist with other relevant marketing projects as the need arises.
Position Requirements:
- 3-5 years in similar position, and 8-10 years in public relations.
- PR experience in a financial, trading, and/or political environment.
- Experience with online marketing; familiarity with cutting-edge web marketing and 'buzz-generation' trends highly desirable.
- Up-to-date portfolio of major media placements and features.
- Broadcast television experience preferred.
- 4-year college degree or higher, ideally with training in marketing, communications, or related discipline.
- Superb written and oral communication, as well as analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within the context of demanding deadlines.
- High level of enthusiasm for overcoming obstacles and building the business.
- Ability to drive results independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to think outside the box and to develop unique strategies and solutions.
Reporting:
The Head of Communications & Public Relations reports to the CMO. The CMO is located at company headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.

Affiliates Manager
Trade Exchange Network is looking to expand the Marketing Team, based in Dublin, Ireland.
Position Summary:
The goal of the role is to develop and maintain the current affiliates’ relationships that the company has developed over the past 3 years of affiliate marketing, and attract new affiliates across the network.
The Affiliates Manager will report to the CMO and collaborate closely with other members of the executive management team. The Affiliates Manager will be responsible for all aspects of affiliate marketing, and will be involved with other marketing projects as the need arises.
This a great opportunity for a self-starter with between 1 and 3 years’ affiliate marketing experience.
Technology and trading expertise are a major plus, but we welcome resumes from diverse backgrounds. Salary is flexible to attract the best.
Job Role:
Areas of responsibility:
- Develop and implement the overall Affiliate strategy and tactics, in conjunction with the traffic acquisition team, to significantly increase traffic to all clients’ sites.
- End to end affiliate management.
- Learn how existing web affiliates can work in diverse new markets.
- Manage all aspects of the affiliate relationship, ensuring growth and loyalty, including commission payments, contract renewals, sponsorship, shows and conferences, and other activities that generate traffic.
- Develop creative tactics to increase number of quality affiliates.
- Identify “lapsed” affiliates and take the appropriate measures to revive/bolster account flow
- Consult with existing affiliates to identify their individual needs and help them to build traffic to their site
- Inform (phone, email, web site) affiliates of ongoing and upcoming promotions, and on occasion, develop customized incentives to motivate affiliates to participate.
- Develop a targeted, tiered list of prospective affiliates to work with, and put together a sales and marketing plan on how to attract and retain them.
- Develop one-off program (e.g., tailored contests) to draw traffic from top tier affiliates.
- Represent the Company at various affiliate-related industry trade shows.
- Work with the Company’s SEO group to optimize affiliate site content.
- Analyse and report on program performance.
- Assist the CMO in any other tasks that may be required.

Head of Member Acquisition
Trade Exchange Network is looking to expand the Marketing Team, based in Dublin, Ireland.
Description:
Reporting to the CMO, the head of member acquisition will take overall responsibility for acquisition marketing activities for the Exchange product group, and manage a team of direct reports accountable for acquisition marketing.
This role has great scope for the right individual.
Key responsibilities:
- New Member Recruitment
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to launch new products/campaigns to external prospects and existing members
- Ensuring brand and campaign consistency with product and retention teams
- Ensure all acquisition marketing activities are executed, in line with strategy, on time, and within budget.
- Effectively manage the acquisition marketing budget.
- Manage the relationship with, and performance of advertising, production and fulfilment agencies.
- Ensure all marketing activity reflects the strength of the brand
- Monitor and report campaign success, to include weekly and monthly KPI reporting
- Continuous analysis of the online trading and exchange market with a view to providing informed recommendations for new channels to market
- Expert marketing manager with experience in a fast paced online business.
- Minimum of 5 years online / acquisition experience with at least three years managing a team and budgetary responsibility
- Experience within sports or trading sectors essential
- Degree (or equivalent) educated. MBA preferred
